- Lake Tulloch Reservoir is located near the township of Copperopolis & features 55 miles of beautiful shoreline & is fed by the Stanislaus River. Lake Tulloch is one of the few lakes in California that allows private waterfront homes & docks. Lake Tulloch is a great place for all watersport activities; waterskiing, wakeboarding, boating, and fishing just to mention a few.
- Lake Don Pedro has 160 miles of shoreline & is the 5th largest artificial lake in California. Lake Don Pedro is known for good fishing & boating. While there are no waterfront properties or private docks allowed on Lake Don Pedro there are many great homes & lots for sale in the surrounding area.
- Copperopolis had it's beginning in the 1860's and it was one of the few Sierra Foothill towns where gold was not important, the Civil War had just broken out & the need for Copper was great, after the war, the bottom fell out of the market & the mines were closed. In 1902 they were reopened & operated into the early 1950's. Several old brick buildings from the 1860's remain today, the largest was once the Federal Armory & served as headquarters for Union soldiers during the Civil War.
- Many day trip locations are nearby; Yosemite National Park, Big Trees State Park, Mercer & Moaning Caverns, historical gold mining towns of Columbia, Angels Camp, Jamestown, Sonora & Murphys.
- Copperopolis is close to many lakes; Lake Tulloch, New Melones, Lake Don Pedro, Lake McClure, New Hogin Reservoir & Lake Comanche.
- In the winter months we have Bear Valley & Dodge Ridge Ski Resort that is a little over 1 hour from the Copperopolis area.
